Wellness Exams and Vaccinations: At East Mckeesport Animal Hospital we believe that regular check-ups and wellness exams are a way to ensure your pet’s well-being. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best. We strongly recommend vaccinations to keep pets safe from various diseases.

Puppies and Kittens: Congratulations on your new pet, when you first introduce your new pet at home veterinary visit is essential. Your pet first visit will include a complete nose-to-tail examination, initial vaccines and vaccination protocol for the first year, diagnostic test for internal parasites, deworming, and will discuss about your pet needs in relation to feeding, behavior, prevention, exercise and any questions you have.

Microchipping: We offer microchip identification. This is a simple, safe, and effective way to ensure your pet’s safety and can be scanned by any veterinarian or animal shelter so that they can return your pet directly to you if they should ever get lost.

Surgical Services: We offer wide range of traditional and advanced surgical procedures at our hospital. Our patients are closely monitored before, during and after the surgeries, pain management will be used for all the procedures.

Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.

Laser therapy: We offer laser therapy which is an effective mode in treating acute and chronic pain conditions. The Laser Is a beam of light that is administered to d eeply penetrate tissue without damaging it. Laser energy induces a biological response in the cells which leads to reduced pain, reduced inflammation, and increased healing speed.

Dental care: Our dental services include thorough examination of Pets oral cavity, removal of tartar and plaque, teeth cleaning, and polishing, tooth extractions if needed and minor oral surgery.

Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, ear cytology, skin scraping, parasite testing, Canine Parvo Virus Snap Test, Canine Heartworm Antigen snap test, and Feline Leukemia (FELV), Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) snap test. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of veterinary pharmaceutical products, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.

Making the decision whether your pet needs hospice care or euthanasia is stressful, and it is a personal issue that differs from pet owner to pet owner, we want to be there alongside you to aid in any way we can.
